Most of all the predictions that Issac Asimov, made did come true he was correct that we needed air/ water pollution control. We really do need to fix those cause if we dont it will be really bad obviously every one know about global warming which was led apon by pollution in the air making a hole in the ozone layer, which is leading to extra co2 in the air heating the world, melting polar snow caps, and if we dont do anything to fix our polution proball we will be in trouble leading to the end of the world. Issac also predicted that we need change in our education system whcih happen most people dissagree on the changes that were made but some of them were okay, like bush's "no child left behind." Like 80% of americans are over wieght do to the greasy fatty food, which is needed to be and have already started to change, like resturants are amking healtheir foods, grilling not frying, also more people are eating smaller proportions and exerizing.
When we were watching one of Issac's lectures online in class i got a feeling that we need change and if we dont do anything we are going to be in trouble. Also to me his lecture on humanity and the environment stood for "we are all to blame thier is no scape goat." Which pretty much means evne if you havent polluted and believe that you dont need to help you should cause if you push the blame off to other people then it will just lead to fighting and arguing thne nothing will get accomplished.

my thoughts of mean making machine
Meaning-making Machines
"If there is one indisputable fact about the human condition it is that no community can survive if it is persuaded--or even suspects--that its members are leading meaningless lives in a meaningless universe."--Irving Kristol
My perseption on "Meaning-making Machines" is that no one wants to be called a nobody, everyone wants to have a perpose for living and not die without leaving a mark on earth saying they have lived a great life and have acomplished all that they could have done. I disagree with Ivring Kristol cause to so extense a community can survive whne nobody believes in it up to a surtin amount of time but eventully it will crumble, but it wont be meaningless cause it would have served a perpose and tought us how to comand and be incharge of a country. And that will help rebuild and start a new begining for the comunity and goverment.
Iviring Kristol's "Meaning-making Machines" does relate with Plato's "Socrates Apology," because they both are dealing with life and the meaning of it. Plato's "Socrates Apology" talks about how every one has a meaning and perpose for living, when Iviring says the nobody wants to be meaningless.
